Yes, a cool large moth. Also in the saturniid family like mine.
Maybe it is the grand paon de nuit? In English, called the great peacock moth or giant emperor moth. I looked at Wikipedia. It says it is the largest native European moth?

Yes, it is. And yes, it is the largest. There are some, every summer, here, but for a very short time. :)

Ah how cool. I guess they migrate through. I would love to travel around Europe myself one day!

I think that only monarchs migrate. My dream is to see them once, but I think I'll never alas. There are so much things to see around the world. :)

Oh haha... I asked my roommate if he has seen wild monarchs and he said of course they migrate through here every year! But I have never seen one. :icondizzy-plz: I've only seen similar things like admirals, fritillaries or painted ladies.
